We are pleased to announce a Lecture by Prof. Po-Hung Chen.
Title: High-Efficiency Wireless Power Transfer Techniques
Speaker: Prof. Po-Hung Chen (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan)
Date and Time: Monday, May 18, 2026, 13:30–14:30

Abstract: This lecture introduces circuit and system techniques for improving the efficiency of inductive wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for battery-less applications. By utilizing wireless feedback from the receiver, the transmitter operation can be adaptively adjusted to match load conditions, thereby reducing unnecessary power transfer.
On the receiver side, rectification and regulation techniques that store and reuse excess received energy are discussed to maintain high efficiency under varying coupling and load conditions. Furthermore, prototype implementations integrating data communication functionality demonstrate practical approaches to achieving efficient and reliable wireless power delivery.
