Abstract (Seminar)
In this talk, we focus on the challenge of integrating AI/ML with wireless transceivers to support stringent service requirements (e.g., extended reality (XR)) in real time.
Such systems require full awareness of and adaptiveness to their environment in real time, which challenges both data-driven and active learning approaches.
We discuss challenges and opportunities in embracing AI/ML for the design of next-generation wireless systems, while considering energy efficiency as a major design criterion.
The talk further addresses future technology requirements, limitations of learning in wireless environments, and practical implementation examples.
It highlights new challenges and unveils promising future directions across multidisciplinary research areas.
Lunch & Informal Discussion
After the tutorial session, on-site participants are invited to join a standing-style lunch at Mirai CREA (1F Multipurpose Hall).
The lunch will be followed by an informal discussion session focusing on potential collaboration between Hiroshima University and RWTH Aachen University.
